Survey of Korea’s Expats

Okay, so, mostly due to past projects I’ve been involved in, I’ve heard about a survey making the rounds focusing on the experiences of expats living in Korea. This is part of a recent effort to organize the English-language Korea bloggers to promote Korea to the rest of the world, and, perhaps, to educate people about the the various predicaments of foreigners here in Korea. Whereas most of us are doing a-o-kay, it’s impossible to ignore these kinds of events that happen.

So anyway, it’s 2:30 a.m. and I gotta get some sleep so I’ll leave it at that. Take the survey!

Life Management

Well, I’ve been back from vacation for a while now, but I haven’t been posting. Basically, life has been chaos.

Why am I posting a video of me sparring in Brazilian JiuJitsu? Because it seems like it’s the only time that I take just for myself these days, and I’m starting to see the importance of it more and more.

In accordance with that, I’m seriously considering re-branding this site and including more of an integrated life view. I’m not sure of anything yet, but I wanted to write in with an update regardless.

Anyhow, the Fall in Korea has been beautiful so far and I’ve been out enjoying it. I’m also trying to figure out a way to be slightly less sleep deprived on my crazy schedule…

On vacation

Been having fun on vacation in the states and thinking a lot about my career plan. It seems like the current trend among my friends is buying houses. Its hard not to compare yourself to your friends but when I entertain the idea of buying a house myself it’s all well and good but buying a house in seoul is not gonna happen and as cool as it would be to have a house here it would be quite a waste.

I have also thought a lot about trying to make my way back to the states full time. Prolly not in the cards immediatly but definitely something I’m eyeing. It would either mean going back to school or going back to government. Both are things requiring a great deal of consideration.
